Happy Birthday Jonah!! This week we continued to talk about bats and spiders before moving on to some Halloween fun! We learned that spiders can be different colors, they have two body parts and eight legs! We made bat headbands (you can see the children wearing them in a pic below) and we also worked on our October portfolio page...a spooky haunted house with fingerprint ghosts! Our spooky little bats!! We had a new center this week which seemed to be a favorite. We got to throw "flies" (really pompoms) into the spider web to see how many flies our spider can catch! We also used our small muscles rolling legs for our spiders, stringing beads and stringing buttons onto pipecleaner "trees"! Tuesday, October 31st **Please send your child in his/her costume and make sure to send a change of clothes! We will be changing out of our costumes before we go outside to help preserve them for trick or treating! Please refrain from sending any play weapons (even if they are part of the costume). Our plan for the day: We will be having our special Halloween snack and then we will be going upstairs to "trick or treat" in the administration offices. After trick or treating we will come downstairs and play some Halloween games. Around 11:00 we will change out of our costumes and hopefully go run around outside. Little Scouts will be closed on Friday, November 3rd!
