We talked a bit more about the world under the sea this week. Did you know that the father seahorse has a pouch on his tummy to hold his babies? Or that the smallest octopus is less than 1 inch long? This week we had a few different things going on at the art table ! We water colored a beautiful seahorse. We also used our hand prints to make a crab for our April portfolio page. The children were also very busy this week working on a top secret project for that special someone in their lives. With that being said we did not take any pictures of that . . . we wouldn't want to give the surprise away :) The children really enjoyed investigating different shells. We took out our magnifying glasses to look closely at the different colors and designs. They also really enjoyed playing with the shells and playdough. Some children even thought they could hear the water when they put the shell up to their ear :) We also had a new fishing game out. Fishing with numbers required the children to "hook" a number fish and match it to the correct number on their game board, it was a bit hit! Next week we will be talking about everyone's favorite person...MOM!
