Thanksgiving has been the topic of the week...we have learned SO MUCH about this fun holiday and why we celebrate it! We talked about what it means to be thankful, a really big concept for such little people! We asked the children what they were thankful and got some really great answers! For art this week it was a turkey-palooza! We used an eye dropper to make feathers for our turkeys that will go in the children's portfolios. We made turkey headbands to wear for our Turkey Tom song, we hope you enjoy the video! The children assembled their turkey heads and finger painted the feathers. We had all sorts of turkey themed fun this week during center time! We added chenille stick feathers to our turkey cups, and clothespin feathers on our paper turkeys! The children also worked on number recognition this week and one-to-one correspondence with our pin the feathers on the turkey game! Little Scouts will be closed Wednesday, November 25th- Friday, November 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday!
