We continued talking about the farm this week. We learned about the life cycle of chickens...and that roosters and hens have different "jobs" on the farm. How would we get up in the morning without a rooster?!! In talking about what chickens and pigs eat we learned that there are different types of corn; corn that that animals eat and corn that people eat. At the art table this week the children colored animals for their farm, painted with legos and assembled a life cycle of the chicken project. Our sneaky fine motor practice this week was to have the children use our scissor tweezers and regular tweezers with corn kernels and beans! Some center time fun from this week... Next week we will be talking about Thanksgiving and all the things that we are thankful for! Make sure to check out the Thankful leaves in the front entrance!!
Sadly we appear to be done with those beautiful warm days and winter weather has made an appearance. Please help us keep your child warm and healthy, we try to be out most days for at least 30 minutes! Hats and mittens are a necessity! Now is also a great time to check your child's spare clothes to make sure that they are both seasonally appropriate and the correct size. Little Scouts will be closed Wednesday, November 25th- Friday, November 27th for Thanksgiving break.
