Thanksgiving has been the topic of the week...we have learned SO MUCH about this fun holiday and why we celebrate it! We talked about what it means to be thankful, a really big concept for such little people! We asked the children what they were thankful and got some really great answers! For art this week it was a turkey-palooza! We made turkeys for our portfolios using an eye dropper to make feathers for the turkey and we made turkey headbands! We had all sorts of turkey themed fine motor practice this week! We created our own turkeys using play dough and a variety of little materials. We also added chenille stick feathers to our turkey cups, and clothespin feathers on our paper turkeys! Little Scouts will be closed Wednesday, November 27th- Friday, November 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday!
