A big part of what we are working on in the 3/4 class throughout the year is social development. This week we decided to focus on manners and what it means to be a good friend. Sharing was another hot topic of the week. Much time has been spent on explaining what it actually means to share toys with a friend. We will continue to work on these very important skills throughout the rest of the year! Love was in the air at our art table this week. We drenched ourselves in hearts; red, pink, purple and white and all things valentine-y. We created some "heart art" and used heart shapes to make owls, decorated big hearts and used dot markers on a heart! Cutting, counting , AND tracing...all the fun things happening during center time this week! And would you believe they were all heart related? We also practiced spelling our names with letter tiles. In case you missed it last week here is the information regarding Valentines Day... We will be celebrating valentines day on Tuesday, February 14th. Your child may bring valentines for his/her classmates on that day. Please make sure that your child’s name is on the valentine but leave it blank otherwise. In other words, PLEASE do not address the envelopes or valentines to specific friends. The children pass out their own valentines, and it makes it a difficult process when they are looking for specific bags to put them in! We have 15 children in the class. REMINDER. . .
Little Scouts will be closed Monday, February 20th in honor of President's Day!
