Our Valentine's Day celebration was a blast! We were very busy and took lots of pictures so you can see just how much fun we had! Below you can see the children passing out their valentines and playing heart bingo! We continued to talk about how to be a good friend, and good manners! Next week we will be exploring an author study of one of our favorites, Laura Numeroff. Our frosted heart shaped cookies were a delicious treat!! Popcorn shakers with Grandma Mack was so much fun! We started out as quiet kernels on the ground and then the fun began when the kernels started popping! We added a little science in with our candy heart experiment. We made predictions about what would happen to the hearts when put into 3 different liquids; soda, water and vinegar. The most exciting liquid was the soda...the carbonation made the hearts "dance"! Special Requests:
During our teacher Professional Development day a few weeks ago we had an Occupational Therapist come in and talk to us about sensory development, and we realized that there were a few items that would be beneficial to all our kids at Little Scouts if we had them in our Large Motor Room. We thought that some of our parents might have some of these hanging around in the basement gathering dust. If you have any of these items, or know of a friend who does who is looking to get rid of it...please keep us in mind! Little Scouts Large Motor Wish List
