After finishing up our top secret project we spent the second part of the week learning about how plants grow. But before we could talk about what they need to grow, we needed to figure out what is considered a plant! We learned that a plant is something that grows, that has a stem, leaves and roots. We also learned that plants can be big or small...trees are plants too! We did an art project this week showing what all plants need to grow: water, sun, soil and air. We asked the children to tell us something that they love that their mommy does for them. It sort of turned into what they like to do with their mommies :) Here is what they said.... Grayson: Bringing me to the park and giving me lots of hugs and kisses. Charlie: I love how she helps me. Like putting on my shoes. Naila: She plants flowers with me. Lucy: Going to the beach with my mommy. Braxton: I like playing with her. Goldie: I love my mommy picking me up from school. Talia: When I lost my unicorn my mommy found it for me. Julianna: She helps me play soccer. Brooke: She makes pancakes for me. Charlotte: Mommy covers me up so I can go to sleep. Brigid: I like to walk with her. We feel so spoiled this week with all the teacher appreciation goodies, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We loved coming to work every day and being able to enjoy all the yummy treats!!
Next week we will be talking about bugs and insects! We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and that all the mommies get spoiled with lots of love on Sunday (and maybe even breakfast in bed!)
