We are enjoying the farm so much, we decided to stay for another week! We continued to talk about the importance of animals on the farm, and all the ways that they work hard on the farm! We read a number of books about specific animals, some were funny, silly books and some were non-fiction. We have been talking about which books can really happen and which are just "stories", the children are getting pretty good at deciphering which type of book we are reading! Our art table was very busy, we assembled a paper plate chicken, which helped us work on our spatial skills...we painted spots onto a cow and "painted" a sheep with bubble wrap! We also had some fun centers out this week. We played in our sensory table with farm animals and ground corn cob and we worked out our finger muscles while "feeding" the animals corn kernels and beans with our scissor tweezers and regular tweezers! In the photos below you will see us "milking" a cow. Ok, so it was a rubber glove filled with water...but it feels very similar! Next week we will be talking about Thanksgiving and all the things that we are thankful for!
