The children continued to be very busy this week working on that top secret project for that special someone in their lives. With that being said we did not take pictures . . . we wouldn't want to give the surprise away :) We spent lots of time talking about our mommies and why they are so special. We asked the children to tell us something that they love about their mommy or love to do with their mommy so here you go... Cameron: Because she always loves me. Kennedy: I color with her. Blair: Because I like to cuddle with her. Holden: She builds with blocks with me. Mackenzie: Because I like to sleep on mommy. Siena: She plays with me. Brecklyn: I like to play with her. Elena: I play dinosaurs with her. Henry: I like to play puzzles with her. Lauren: She lets me jump off the diving board. Tyler: She makes me peanut butter & jelly for me. Ryan: I like to give her a present. Drew: I love to give her a firetruck. Charlie: She goes fishing with me. Phoebe: I like to hug her. We also spent a lot of time talking about the nice things that we could do for our mommies, the children had LOTS of ideas: things like cooking with them, bringing them breakfast (or dinner) in bed, hugging them, and picking flowers for them. So, when you get woken up at 5 AM on Sunday with a slightly inedible breakfast...just remember that it comes from a good place! ;) Hopefully, the special gift that the children made for you is self-explanatory...but just in case...here is a little hint. It is intended to be hung outside to catch the wind! Here are some pictures of a few of our friends gardening in our sensory table this week...
